| Whether you simply love to laze at the beach, dip in Turquoise waters, or you are an art and history buff, a golf lover or simply enjoy browsing through markets, Turkey offers a lifestyle of endless possibilities all year round. Surrounded by four different seas, Turkey is a beach paradise with over 8000 km (5000 miles) of sunny strips of sand with a different personality, history, landscape and even cuisine in each region.
The country is at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East, which made it a cradle of civilizations throughout history. Two of the Seven Wonders of the World are situated in Turkey: the Artemis Temple in Ephesus and the Halicarnassus Mausoleum in Bodrum.
Turkey is an energetic modern country which boasts a thriving economy (8.5% GDP growth in 2004). With first class hotels and resorts, brand new marinas, a world-class fusion cuisine, some of the best nightlife in Europe, and last but not least a wonderful climate, Turkey is a fantastic place to call your second home.
For Investment:
- Turkey is a great place to invest in. Turkey is inexpensive to buy property. Although property prices have been increasing in the last few years, they are still way below their counterparts' in other Mediterranean countries, but they will surely go up. Turkey is starting the accession negotiations with the EU in 2005 and is expected to be a full member by 2015. The economy has been growing at 8.5% in 2004, and the inflation is in single digits first time in decades. This translates into a surge in foreign direct investment and domestic demand in all areas of the economy including real estate - look at what happened to property prices in Spain in the last two decades, and it is not hard to project Turkey's prospects.
- Turkey has already been discovered and approved by "early adopters". Some people move earlier to new regions to buy properties than others, and the early adopters have already settled in Turkey making very good returns on their investments (real estate prices rose by about 30% in 2004). The country is now receiving the second wave of buyers, who feel comfortable as a result of the positive feedbacks of those pioneers.
- Turkey is a great place for living. Of course, all the good reasons to live in Turkey, also make it a good reason to invest. As more and more people choose to live in Turkey the demand will drive the prices up - as it already is starting to. The best part is, you can enjoy great living in this country, while watching your investment grow at fantastic rates - it looks like, after all you can have your cake and eat it too!
